I've always used Kontakt to load third party libraries, but didn't really play around with the settings, so I was surprised to see all of the parameters that the software provides. The tutorial is very in depth and explains a lot of the inner workings of the plugin, and I even discovered a lot of sounds from its own factory library.

Been using Live for close to a decade, wanted to go back to see if I've overlooked some of the basics and yes, I did. Wonderful course for a beginner or someone overlooking the basics, thanks RR!

This course is a fantastic breath of fresh air. A very different type of course from most others on the platform. Two things I particularly love. The first is that Alan supplies all the projects, making it very engaging to follow along. In fact, it's essential that you do this, I feel; otherwise, the course might feel more like an extended lecture; but with the ability to use the project files, the course really comes to life. The second outstanding thing about this course is that Alan uses ONLY Logic plug-ins. And he doesn't just use the usual suspects either - he really uses a range of stock plug-ins. How many courses have you watched that actually use Delay Designer or the EVOC20 Filterbank, for example? Even a plug-in as hard hitting as Clip Distortion is almost never used anywhere during Logic Pro courses. Not so here. A huge range of Logic's plug-ins get their time in the sun. In fact, the stock plug-ins that are typically used in online courses - Tape Delay, Stereo Delay, Compressor - are the only ones NOT to be used at all. This is so refreshing. Thanks, Alan!

This is a great course. I had no idea that the granulator was able to offer so much in the area of sound design! This has been of one my favorite tutorials, and I can't wait to try out some of the techniques that were shown

Fantastic stuff once again. Very easy to follow and provides excellent info, explained in a way that couldn't be easier to understand. Potentially intimidating processes and plug-ins have the fear factor largely taken out of them. Probably a bit too brief for someone who's using only these two video series to learn how to mix, but for those of us who have seen our fair share of mixing tutorials already, Daniel's series are such good consolidation - I can't actually imagine a better way of consolidating than this. Prime stuff.

Hadn't noticed this course until seeing the review just below mine. It's fantastic! Some of the best and most memorable analogies I've ever heard for describing why-we-do-what-we-do in the mixing process. On a selfish note, seeing Daniel use mostly plug-ins that I happen to own (SoundToys, FabFilter) was a massive bonus and incentive to complete the course, but it's also interesting to see how Daniel's approach differs from other mixing engineers. Even if you know your way around the virtual mixing desk, you will probably find this to be a really refreshing watch.
